Recorded in 2009 and then shelved after legal disputes between Danger Mouse and EMI, 'Dark Night Of The Soul' looked destined to never be released. A year after Danger Mouse released the album as a blank CD-R and four months after the death of Sparklehorse's Mark Linkous, the album finally sees thelight of day. A collection of indie and hip hop influenced songs; the album features guest vocals from the likes James Mercer, Iggy Pop, Gruff Rhys, Jason Lytle and the late Vic Chesnutt.
